Ease of writing
This is more a personal thing and cannot be seen directly in the two examples. But the ease of writing and the natural flow when writing have improved a lot. It took me a long time to write the first essay and I looked up a lot of words. After staying in New York and using and being surrounded by English all the time, have made it much more natural to write as well.
Improved spelling
Spelling have also improved. It is not seen in these particular examples because they both have been through spelling check by teachers. When looking at my handwritten writings from the progress tests my spelling definitely improved. It was a big weakness for me before because I have always had auto correct back home in Denmark, also at the exams. By writing in hand here and on the school’s computers without auto correct have improved my spelling.
Vocabulary and sentence variations
Vocabulary and sentence variations have become a more natural part of my writing. Especially thanks to all the Ted Talk classes we have had learning about how to communicate hard topics in an understandable way. This was helpful in writing my last paper about the EU. Trying to make it more relevant and interesting to read by changing the sentence structure, using different appeal strategies and using rhetorical tools like repetitions and rhetorical questions.
